Greetings from the 2008-2009 Birmingham APICS leadership team.  As a local member-driven organization, our objective is to be responsive to member needs and industry trends.  We have an exceptional group of instructors providing knowledge to equip you as an individual or company to become more effective in today's global economy. 

Your Board of Directors is committed to serving the unique interests of our members as well as those of Alabama business.  I am excited to share several opportunities to help drive our organization.  Each month, an easy online survey will be distributed to all active members.  We want to know what additional value we can provide to better serve you and how we are performing as a governing board.  We have also created a new board position, VP of Member Relations, to serve as a member advocate, welcome new members and follow-up with those that may not be as connected. 

We had a remarkable last year in membership growth, new course offerings and university relations.  Under the leadership of Brent Lambiotte, our chapter achieved Gold Status by adhering to a rigorous national benchmarking criterion.  As a result, we are truly positioned as the premier professional development group for operations & supply chain management professionals of central Alabama. 

This year shall bring many more opportunities for networking, continuing education and a renewed passion for our industry as it gains greater importance than ever before.
